Someone suggested group session at the counseling center. LOLOLOL. Of course this is a joke. We get along. I think.
How do you all deal with staff conflicts?
Some people dropped out of our NACURH Delegation last minute… I GET TO GO TO NACURH AGAIN!!!! WOOOOO! Last year was so much fun. this year is going to be better! I hope I’m not sick again!

WOOO! SO exciting. It’s been a wild ride with NRHH. So glad I stuck around though. :)
I am so blessed to have a great supportive network of people in my life. I would not be the leader I am today without the help of RHA/NRHH today. I am honored to accept the position as HEAD RESIDENT for the academic year of 2012-2013. I envision every meeting with my staff to be happy and awkward! :)
The things you learn from residents.
I am so grateful to have mature residents. I never knew how much I can learn from them. I was up until 2 a.m. talking to them about their journey to where they are now. One even mentioned she felt “safe” in the residence halls and that we provided her with the environment to grow as a person. I teared on the inside. Another was explaining how the economy hit her hard her senior year of high school. In the end, our conversations developed into something more personal about goals and dreams. I felt a strong bond with my residents and I learned so much tonight. It’s important not to lose touch with yourself and it’s definitely important to grow. I always saw myself teaching them, rather than them teaching me about life. This is new. :)
